At Daisy Chain Day Care we accept Early Years Funding,
Tax Free Childcare payments and NHS Tax Efficient Childcare payments.
You may be eligible to up to 1,140 hours Early Years Funded hours per year.
Plus 20% discount on fees paid via the Tax Free Childcare payments both can greatly reduce your childcare costs.
We are also pleased to be able to offer the NHS Tax Efficient Childcare Payments to NHS Staff that reduces your Income Tax and National Insurance liabilities.

Early Years Funding
From September 2025, eligible working families can claim up to 30 funded hours a week (equivalent to 1,140 hours per year over 38 weeks).
Applies to children aged 9 months up to school age
You must meet work‑related earnings criteria: typically both parents need to work at least 16 hours a week at the National Minimum Wage and have individual taxable incomes below £100k.

Provide your code to your nursery, who claims funds directly.

Enhanced Service Charge - The Government funding is intended to contribute towards the cost of childcare at only a basic level and does not cover the full cost of provision. It excludes a number of essential items, including meals, toiletries, sun cream, art and craft consumables, sensory and soft play resources, IT equipment, access to the Famly app and many other important resources.
If you are eligible for funded childcare, you will still be responsible for the cost of these items. For this reason, an Enhanced Service Charge is requested. Further details of the charge can be found on the Fees Sheets.
Tax Free Childcare
Tax-Free Childcare is a way the government helps you pay for your child’s nursery fees.
For every £8 you pay in, the government adds £2 — a 20% bonus
up to £2,000 per child each year (or £4,000 if your child is disabled).
You get this money through an online account, which you use to pay your childcare provider directly.
Who Can Get It?
You must be working, including self-employed.
You need to earn at least about £183 per week, but less than £100,000 per year.
You can still get your 15 or 30 hours Funded childcare on top of this.
How It Works:
You open an online childcare account.
You pay money in — the government tops it up automatically.
You pay your nursery directly from that account.
It is very flexible – you can pay in as much or as little as you need, when you need to.

Tax Efficient Childcare Scheme

Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic District NHS Trust
We are very pleased to be able to work in partnership with Shropshire County PCT, Telford & Wrekin PCT, Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital NHS Trust and Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic & District NHS Trust to offer a Tax Efficiency Childcare Scheme to their employees.
Childcare places can now be offered as a non-taxable benefit to employees of the above Trusts who use any of the Daisy Chain Day Care nurseries.
This benefit can reduce parents Income Tax and National Insurance liabilities against childcare costs by up to 35%.
The scheme works by ‘top slicing’ the cost of your childcare from your salary and the fees are paid directly to Daisy Chain Day Care by your payroll department.
You accept the resulting lower salary and, because you are paid less, you will pay less Income Tax, National Insurance and NHS Pension contributions. *Terms and conditions apply
